About the role
A large defense and space company in Ottawa is hiring for this role. You will own financial analysis and month-end reporting for internal teams and subcontractors, and help shape the financial policies and accounting procedures the company works to.
What you'll do
- Review financial statements and run departmental variance analysis
- Prepare month-end reconciliations
- Help develop financial policies and accounting procedures
- Support forecasts, budgets and audits
- Contribute to ERP implementation, contract reviews and ad hoc financial analysis
What you bring
- Experience reviewing financial statements and analyzing variances
- Hands-on month-end reconciliation experience
- Familiarity with forecasting, budgeting and audit support
- Exposure to ERP implementation work
- Ability to support internal teams and subcontractors with ad hoc analysis
