About the role
A large IT services and IT consulting company in Toronto is hiring for this role. You will own the design of the end-to-end data platform, from source ingestion through to the Gold-layer reporting model. The role also covers moving the business off its legacy pipelines.
What you'll do
- Design and own the data platform, including source ingestion and Bronze/Silver/Gold transformations
- Build and optimize production pipelines
- Set up data integrity controls and orchestration
- Develop the Gold-layer Kimball reporting model
- Document architectural decisions
- Coordinate parallel-run validation, cutover and decommissioning of legacy pipelines
What you bring
- Senior-level experience designing and owning end-to-end data platforms
- Hands-on experience with Bronze/Silver/Gold (medallion) transformations
- Kimball dimensional modelling for reporting layers
- Experience building and optimizing production pipelines and orchestration
- Clear written documentation of architectural decisions
