About the role
A large business consulting and services company in San Diego is hiring for this role. You will own accounting and financial reporting for construction projects, from project costs and revenue through to close. The role also includes mentoring project accounting staff.
What you'll do
- Manage accounting and financial reporting for construction projects, including project costs, revenue, WIP, commitments and billing
- Run close activities and complete reconciliations
- Analyze results and resolve accounting issues
- Support audits and work with cross-functional teams
- Improve processes and controls, and mentor project accounting staff
What you bring
- Senior-level project accounting experience on construction projects
- Working knowledge of WIP, commitments, project billing and revenue reporting
- Experience with month-end close and account reconciliations
- Comfort supporting audits and strengthening controls
- The ability to coach and mentor other accounting staff
