A large health care company in Edmonton is hiring for this role. You will own daily operations for a complex, high-volume laboratory, keeping testing accurate, compliant and on time. The role exists to balance service, safety and financial performance across the team.
What you'll do
- Lead daily laboratory operations, including testing accuracy, quality, compliance and safety
- Keep turnaround times consistent and customer service strong
- Manage staffing and develop your team
- Own financial performance, vendors and equipment
- Run improvement initiatives that optimize service and operational results
What you bring
- Experience leading operations in a complex, high-volume laboratory or similar setting
- Working knowledge of quality, compliance and safety requirements
- People leadership, including staffing and team development
- Comfort managing budgets, vendors and equipment
- A record of driving process improvement
